What the Convener says:

The legal system is complex, dynamic, and diverse, with significant variations between jurisdictions. This complexity is one reason scholars find the legal field fascinating, making it a popular area of study in computer science. Many countries are now employing AI and data science techniques to reduce the time it takes to deliver justice and improve the overall efficiency of stakeholders involved in the legal process.

The primary focus of this workshop is to bring together innovators, researchers, start-ups, and academics to explore new possibilities for integrating AI with legal practice. This initiative aims to provide a roadmap for future research. What sets this workshop apart is its emphasis on practical applications, featuring hands-on sessions led by experts.

Additionally, we will highlight the contributions of Indian researchers in this field. There will be a session where Indian LegalTech start-ups showcase their products, along with a panel discussion where participants will share their insights on how India can prepare for the legal landscape of the future.
