When Justice Meets Dialogue: Highlights from “Ask the Judge”

We were honoured to host an inspiring session of our flagship initiative, Ask the Judge — uniting legal minds from India and the UK to foster accessible and empathetic justice.

Distinguished Guests:
🔹 Hon’ble Justice Swatanter Kumar (Retd.) — Former Supreme Court Judge and Chairperson, NGT, whose work continues to shape India’s environmental jurisprudence.
🔹 Barrister Ssusheel Bellara — Founder, 5 Points Chambers, London, specialising in Immigration, Human Rights, Family, Civil, and Employment Law.

Session Highlights:
Justice Kumar emphasised mediation as a structured, value-driven process grounded in patience, dialogue, and cultural sensitivity. He also reminded us that sustainability must guide every step of development.
Barrister Bellara underlined the importance of legal education, accessibility, and civic responsibility in shaping a just and inclusive legal ecosystem.

The Gathering:
Hundreds of participants — including lawyers, NGO leaders, and students from 15+ law colleges across India — joined us live, making this dialogue a true celebration of collective learning.

Our Takeaway:
Justice is not only about verdicts but values — empathy, sustainability, and dialogue. Together, we can reshape how justice listens and leads.

Gratitude:
To Justice Swatanter Kumar, Barrister Susheel Bellara, and everyone who joined us from India and the UK — your voices strengthen this movement.
